Privacy policy

This policy covers strandidhq.com, run by Strandid. It explains what we collect, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
What you send us. When you fill out the Get quoted form, we collect your name and credentials, practice name, specialty, city and state, the topics you can speak to, your turnaround and format preferences, your email, your phone number if you add it, and anything you put in the notes. If you email us, we get whatever is in that email.
What your browser sends automatically. Like any website, our host receives standard technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you load, and when.
Don't send patient information
The form and email aren't secure channels for health information. Please don't include patient names, identifiers, or anything clinical. If something like that reaches us anyway, we delete it.
How we use it
We use what you send to contact you about press opportunities, match you with reporters looking for sources in your field, draft quotes for your review, and talk with you about working together. We use technical data to keep the site running and secure.
When we share it
With reporters, only with your approval. When you approve a quote, we send it to the reporter along with your name, credentials, and practice as you approved them. Nothing goes to a reporter without your sign-off.
With the services that run our business. That includes our website host and form processor, our email provider, and the tools we use to organize submissions. They process your information to provide their services to us.
When the law requires it. For example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads, under Google's privacy policy. Because we don't track you across other sites, there's nothing for a browser's Do Not Track signal to turn off. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy first.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we're working together or talking about it, and delete it when you ask or when we no longer need it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email us and we'll take care of it, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and submissions are accessible only to us. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise information sent over the internet will never be intercepted.
Children
This site is for medical professionals. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
